Small Gauge Looms
Loom knit with 1 strand of 4 ply ww yarn, fingerling, sport or cotton worsted weight yarn. 
Fine Gauge Looms
Loom knit with sock yarn or baby sport weight yarn, baby cotton, #3 crochet thread.

Loom Knitting Hats

Regular Gauge
Use 1 strand of WW yarn, sport, etc.
Loom knit in double stitch, chunky braid or half stitch for a thicker stitch.
Small Gauge
Loom knit using the single stitch e-wrap, knit or purl, double, half or chunky braid stitches. Use 1 strand of WW yarn, baby sport, etc.
Fine Gauge
Loom knit in single stitch e-wrap, knit, purl stitches. For a tighter stitch, loom the double or half stitch.
Use one strand of  fingering, baby cotton, #3 crochet thread. 
Half Gauge
Loom knit in single e-wrap, knit, purl for a looser knit with one strand of WW or cotton yarn. For a thicker knit, loom with the double, half or chunky braid stitches when using thinner yarns.

 3/8" spacing, from the center of peg to the center of adjacent peg

 Fine Gauge
